JUNIOR FRIENDY RESULTS

Both our U11 and U13 squads recorded their first ever wins last weekend!

We are extremely proud of everyone who played in the games against Hartlepool Mavericks and the Granite City Guerrillas. Each squad picking up 2 wins and 2 losses in each age group in some close fought games against experienced opposition.

Under Elevens - Max, Mason, Alex, Sandy, Marcus.

On the Under 11s Max, Mason, and Alex showed great leadership and organisation on court taking the game to their opponents and scoring some greats hits and making some fantastic catches. Marcus showed great awareness in defence coming forward to protect his teammates and slow down the opposition attack and Sandy seemed almost impossible to hit!

Under Thirteens - Mia, Robbie, Aiden, Calum, Sam, Ronnie, Timo

For the Under 13s Mia pulled off some great reaction dodges to avoid getting hit at the last minute and often found herself last on court. She also pulled off a great rebound catch showing all that practice in training pays off! Sam, Aiden, Timo, and Robbie showed great bravery and skill on court committing to each play and backing themselves for every catch attempt. Sometimes they were unlucky with balls just bouncing the wrong way but they all played brilliantly. Calum also showed some transferable goalkeeping skills in making a number of catches.

But we are most proud of how everyone took coaches advice and learnt from each game to improve set on set. Thanks to everyone who took part at the weekend and hope that we can arrange more competitive games in the future.
