Granton Giants Dodgeball Club is committed to promoting equality and diversity among our members and ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity. This policy outlines our commitment to providing equal opportunities and fostering an inclusive environment for all.
 

2. Policy Statement

We are dedicated to ensuring that our club is free from discrimination, harassment, and victimization. We aim to create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
 

3. Objectives

  • To promote equality and diversity in all aspects of the club’s activities.

  • To ensure that all members, players, coaches, volunteers, and spectators are treated fairly and with respect.

  • To provide equal opportunities for participation and development within the club.

  • To prevent and address any form of discrimination or harassment.
     

4. Scope

This policy applies to all members, players, coaches, volunteers, and spectators involved in any activities organized by Granton Giants Dodgeball Club.
 

5. Responsibilities

  • Club Committee: Responsible for implementing and monitoring this policy, ensuring compliance, and addressing any breaches.

  • Members and Participants: Expected to adhere to this policy and promote a culture of equality and diversity.
     

6. Implementation

  • Training: Provide training and awareness sessions on equality and diversity for all members and staff.

  • Communication: Ensure that this policy is communicated to all members and is easily accessible.

  • Monitoring: Regularly review and monitor club activities to ensure compliance with this policy.
     

7. Reporting and Complaints

  • Any member who feels they have been discriminated against or harassed should report the incident to the Club Secretary.

  • Complaints will be handled confidentially and in accordance with the club’s Complaints and Disciplinary Policy.

  • Appropriate action will be taken against anyone found to have breached this policy.
     

8. Review

This policy will be reviewed annually by the Club Committee to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date.
