GRANTON GIANTS DODGEBALL CLUB
ABOUT US
We are a community dodgeball club based in North Edinburgh and registered with our National Governing Body British Dodgeball. We were founded in 2022 as a Junior Dodgeball club and our Under Elevens team finished fourth in the 2023 Scottish Open. In 2024 our adult squad made its debut in the Scottish regional development league.
We are the sixth active adult dodgeball team and third junior team in Scotland and our ambition is to grow our men's and women's teams to compete nationally. To grow the sport we love and to support the development of Scotland's international dodgeball sides.
EVENTS
We are happy to offer dodgeball demonstrations at community events at no charge.
We have a full size adult outdoor court which is 18m by 9m with two sets of cricket style netting that can be used outdoors on grass and we have indoor markers that can be used for events in games halls.
All we would ask is the opportunity to distribute flyers and information about our club to encourage people to join us and take up dodgeball.
FUNDING
We have received funding from the City of Edinburgh Council Forth Area fund and the Edinburgh Airport Community fund and British Dodgeballs Come Join in Fund. This money has been used to purchase equipment for the club to be able to setup outdoor courts and to officially register the club for our first competitive season. We will use the outdoor court to offer free dodgeball sessions in local parks across North Edinburgh and to attend community events like the North Edinburgh Community Festival.
